Velo Chic
Thesis Project, 2011,
The goal of "Velo Chic" is to increase the bicycle ridership in an urban environment for a sustainable future. In America, women comprise only 25% of bicycle riders. The main factor that lead to this gender gap is that the industry trend of bicycles continues to focus on the existing bicyclists and ignoring the needs of the non-riders. In this case, female users could become a expanding market for the bicycle industry in the future.

The W2 Night Light was designed with wood in mind. Simple, with clean aesthetic, the W2 Night Light pairs the soft glow and warmth of Birdseye, Maple and Padauk with aluminum's austere beauty. It included 120 VAC super-bright bulb consisting of 32 individual LEDs uses only 3 watts, and is rated for an average life span of 20,000 hours; far more efficient than traditional bulbs and thus healthier for the environment. This subtle light will fit comfortably in any interior.
